SATER is an electronics and home appliance repair centre at Silmaču iela 6, Riga. The company was registered in December 1993, but the workshop traces its roots to Elektrons TV repair shop no. 2 and the imported-equipment repair section. Repairs have been carried out at Silmaču 6 for more than 60 years.
From Soviet-era workshop to modern repair centre
The workshop grew from repair shop no. 2 of the Elektrons television service facility and from the section that handled imported equipment. That factory-era service culture is what later became SATER.
The repair workshop at Silmaču 6 has been operating for more than 60 years. In December 1993, the team of engineers formally registered SIA "Sadzīves tehnikas remonts SATER", keeping the same address, experience and practical repair approach.
Across those decades the technology changed completely — CRT to OLED, VHS to streaming, cassette players to robot vacuums — but the workshop remained. We learned each new generation of devices, invested in the right tools, and kept the same direct approach: technician to customer, no intermediaries.
